Design Emergency: Kids School Holiday Workshop

In this fun workshop, kids will have the opportunity to re-imagine their broken but treasured toys. A facilitator and designer will work with participants using design methodology to devise creative solutions to challenges they identify in their own lives. The aim is to engage children with creative thinking skills and apply those skills to issues relevant to them.
This workshop is being held as part of ‘Object Therapy’, an exhibition and project exploring creative transformation and notions of value and repair. 29 broken objects, submitted by the public, have been ‘repaired’ and re-imagined by noted Australian international designers and artists.
• When: Saturday 6 July 2019
• Time: 10am - 2pm
• Cost: $20 per child (accompanying adults free)
• Age level: 8 - 12 years
• 12 kids per workshop
• Kids Bring: 1 x broken toy
Venue: Meet at Lismore Regional Gallery at 10am for tour of Object Therapy Exhibition and
then workshop will take place in the Library Meeting Room, downstairs in Lismore Library.
Object Therapy is a project by Hotel Hotel, developed in collaboration with UNSW Art & Design and ANU School of Art and Design, presented by Australian Design Centre with assistance from the Australian Government's, Visions of Australia program.
