Join us for an evening of delightful deep listening situated amongst the artwork of the Hannah Halle exhibition. Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound artist Cye Wood will take audiences on an expansive auditory journey through a captivating, immersive, improvised soundscape. Seating is provided, but we encourage people to bring a yoga mat and cushion to lie on and bathe in the sound for the ultimate restful and nourishing experience.
About Cye Wood
Cye Wood is a composer, sound artist, violinist and multi-disciplinary performer whose work delves into many aspects of sound creation. His live and recorded work invokes a deep listening state, drawing audiences into familiar yet uncharted territories. His recorded works include the solo EP Araya, the album Sönghellir with his project Cave In The Sky, and the soundtrack album for the ABC series 'The Trail of Genghis Khan' in collaboration with Lisa Gerrard. He composes for film, contemporary dance and theatre productions and recently scored and performed the live soundtrack for the NORPA production ‘The Laboratory of Light’.
Cye has also contributed string arrangements and solo violin to many albums and film projects and has worked with diverse artists, including Laurie Anderson, Eartha Kitt, Tenzin Choegyal and William Barton. He is a member of the ambient doom trio Black Rainbow (with Luke Jaaniste and Brandon Cassidy) and the sound art project Oscillator A with Christian Pyle.
