Michael Hall is the Editor of The Burlington Magazine. Founded in 1903, it is one of the world’s most respected art history journals. He is the author of Art, Passion & Power: The Story of the Royal Collection, published in 2016.
Join Michael as he discusses the Royal Collection, which containing over a million works of art and other historic objects, is the largest private art collection in the world. It covers every aspect of the fine and decorative arts, from paintings by Rembrandt and drawings by Michelangelo to fabulous jewels and Fabergé eggs. As Michael Hall will explain, the collection has been shaped by the enthusiasms, whims and obsessions of the Royal Family for over 500 years.
