Paper making and Cyanotype workshop
Saturday 15 July, 11am - 1pm.
With Jana Moser and Lucia CanutoJoin exhibiting artists Jana Moser and Lucia Canuto as they share their experience of hand making paper and the photographic process of Cyanotype. In this intimate workshop participants will watch a paper making demonstration and then be guided through making a sheet of their own. Papers will be put aside to dry, and participants will then have the opportunity to create a Cyanotype print from premade paper created by the artsits. Cyanotype is a blue photographic printing process that is developed by sunlight. This workshop will take place outside at the Lismore Quad and is weather dependant. Participants will take home 1 x handmade paper sheet (which may need to be collected another day due to drying times), 1 x cyanotype print.
*Participants are asked to bring an object or objects to use as a imagery in creating their print. Soft and / or small objects, with a mixture of light translucent and opaque objects, no larger than A4 (sheet size) will suit this exercise best. Some examples are flowers, pieces of organic material, string, coins, jewerly, etc.
