Meredith Hinchliffe speaks with Grant Vaughan about his exquisite timber works.
Vaughan has worked in the Lismore area (from his Rock Valley studio) for over thirty years. His work is represented in many public and private collections including the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra; Parliament House Art Collection, Canberra; Power House Museum, Sydney and Museum of Fine Art, Boston. Grant Vaughan has exhibited in Australia, the United State and in the United Kingdom, but this is his first solo exhibition in the Northern Rivers.
Hinchliffe has been involved with the arts since 1977 when she began work with the Crafts Council of the ACT. She is now a freelance curator and writer and an arts advocate. She has been a contributor to The Canberra Times (1978 to 2009), City News (2009 to present) and writes review articles of crafts and visual arts exhibitions and publications.
