Call for entries: Collage Club exhibition
4pm, Friday 27 October
Have you attended the Lismore Regional Gallery’s weekly Collage Club and made collages? Would you like to exhibit your work at the LRG pop-up?We are calling for entries for a Collage Club exhibition from Thursday 2 November – Saturday 18 November
The deadline for submission of collages for exhibition is Friday 27 October
For the last year and half the Lismore Regional Gallery has run a weekly Collage Club as a creative recovery project for the community. By exhibiting art made at Collage Club we want to celebrate the creativity and resilience of our community, the diversity of attendees, and the making of art for play, wellbeing, and connection, rather than for expected artistic outcomes.
This is an open entry exhibition, meaning that anyone who has attended Collage Club can submit works, if they abide to the conditions below.
*Maximum artwork size is A3
* A maximum of 10 pieces can be submitted by an individual, (or more if the total size of all pieces is smaller than A3)
* The work must be handmade collage created at Collage Club (work that was started at Collage Club and finished at home is fine). Work made on a computer is not acceptable. Scanned and printed images of collages made at the Club are accepted.
* All ages and abilities
* Explicit content may not be exhibited
* Please have your name, phone and email on the back of the collage, and note which way up it should be hung
* You can drop your collage into the LRG pop-up anytime during opening hours or hand it to the Collage Club facilitator when at the Club
* Please note that works in the exhibition are not insured. While the gallery will take the upmost care in handling and hanging the work, we do not take responsibility for damage to works in the exhibition. Collages will be installed with pins, magnets and double sided tape.
