In August, we are offering After School Art Classes for kids aged 7 - 12 years. Join us for after-school art classes with artist Chloe Smith. Make new friends and learn new skills! All materials and light snacks provided.

Chloe Smith is a multidisciplinary artist of Chinese and Papua New Guinean heritage, currently based in Lismore. Chloe’s work spans a variety of mediums with a strong focus on sculpture and textiles. Her meticulously crafted soft-sculptural pieces, large-scale wearable works and photographs have been exhibited across a variety of platforms throughout Australia, and internationally.
Having grown up in a food obsessed household with a rich history of culinary story telling Chloe’s work has found a place at the intersection of food and art with projects spanning: a live hotline dedicated to providing dinner advice, a photographic series detailing abandoned foods in the supermarket and a body of sculptural works focusing on the relationship between food and memory making. In both subject and material, Chloe offers a reflection upon cultural items of the everyday, challenging the limitations of arts-institutional orthodoxy, drawing upon the absurd, silliness, humour, and play.
