Curator, Wes Hill speaks about the exhibition Living Things.
Wes Hill is an art critic, artist and curator who is currently employed as a lecturer of Art Theory and Curatorial Studies at Southern Cross University (SCU), Lismore. He has a PhD in Art History from the University of Queensland, and his critical writing has appeared in numerous magazines and journals such as Artforum, Frieze, Broadsheet and Art and Australia. Speciality research areas include installation art, digital art, and the representation of criticality in cultural practice. Curated exhibitions include This is what I do (2012, Contemporary Art Tasmania, Hobart). As an artist specialising in the medium of installation, Hill has exhibited with Wendy Wilkins as ‘Wilkins Hill’ at institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, Artspace, Sydney, and the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane.
