Creative Writing for Wellbeing
Tuesday February 28, 2 - 3.30pm and Saturday March 4, 2 - 3.30pm
Join Annie Barrett for a Creative Writing for Wellbeing (adults) workshop. Annie will gently guide you through the benefits of creative writing, assist personal reflective writing, encourage confidential sharing, and explore the themes of transformation, new beginnings and renewal. The outcomes of this workshop may be added to the Butterfly effigy for release during the burning on Saturday March 4, from 7.45pm. These workshops will take place at the Lismore Quadrangle as part of the Lismore - Opening Our Heart flood anniversary events. Please note: participant numbers are limited, please book your free ticket here.
Annie Barrett is a counsellor and writer based in Northern NSW. She worked as a counsellor in health services and education in Lismore and Byron Bay for over 20 years. During the last 12 years she has also facilitated local and interstate writing for wellbeing workshops. Trusting the pen on the page is like a deep listening process; images, insights and ideas emerge. It is nourishing and can be full of creative wonder and healing.
This event is generously supported by Lismore City Council.
