Magical Fresh and Salty Conversations

In conjunction with the Gallery 4 exhibition We marry you, O sea, as a sign of true and perpetual dominion by Sonia Levy, we invite our audience to explore the TBA21–Academy’s podcast series, which delves into ecological and magical perspectives on bodies of water. The series features artist Sonia Levy as one of its speakers and serves as a rich extension of the exhibition’s themes and resonance.

Magical Fresh & Salty Conversations reflects on the anthropogenic transformations of marine ecosystems, leaning on the innovative trajectories of science, technology, and art. Through performance, expeditions, sound, film, and image-making, the contributing artists engage with the underwater world in encounters with scientists and thinkers, proposing a world re-imagined from within the waters. Whether in the fictional, scientific, or science-fictional realm, an interspecies future lies ahead of us.
