Workshop participants will explore Folklore and use trace monotype drawing technique to develop visual storytelling inspired by wicked and playful interpretations of tall tales.
Learn how to create beautiful contour line drawings and build up tonal compositions through the trace monotype method. Immediate, subtle, and sensitive lines are some of the expressive possibilities created through this accessible printmaking technique. During this workshop you will understand the skills and processes required to develop an original series of images on paper.
Emma Gardner’s exhibition Wildish is currently on display in Lismore Regional Gallery’s downstairs Gallery 5 until Sun 28 Feb 2021.
