Ancient Vibrations :: Barry RAINMAN Boland
19 Jun - 1 Aug 2021
Gallery 5
Vibrations of the spirit resonate through life itself, and shape the connection and balance between land, water, air, fire, animals and humanity. The knowledge and stories passed down from my father and mother have enriched my life and increased my human essence. They have allowed me to understand the importance and complexity of all things living and breathing together through spirit, lore, bloodlines, sound, movement and language.
Ancient Vibrations combines contemporary and traditional art styles to reflect stories and vibration through dimensional, two dimensional, topographical styles.
Barry RAINMAN Boland (Gala Bairri Mari) is a contemporary Aboriginal artist, of Kamilaroi Euahlayi (Yuwularaay) and Northern Kamilaroi/ Bigambul heritage, whose totems are emu (Dhinawun), wallaby, snake, long neck turtle, wedge tail eagle (Maliyan Kaputhin) and goanna (Dhulaay), representing the bloodlines that connect to more than 40,000 years in his mothers and fathers countries. Barry has been delivering cultural and art activities for the last 30 years throughout Australia, and internationally.
