Chas Glover grew up in the northern suburbs of Sydney, painting footballers, cowboys, bikies, and pirates. Preferring to work on paper, Glover’s simple and often loose approach to mark-making leaves room for mystery. Unconcerned with perspective or proportion, his work is off-beat and altered, a quasi-dreamscape of the intimate and domestic.Glover’s interests in history, dreaming, magic, and philosophy are amalgamated colourfully and culminate in a darkly humorous celebration of the everyday.
