Where they walked is an exhibition of four First Nations artists Kylie Caldwell (Bundjalung), Luke Close (Bundjalung), Nickola Clark (Arakwal) and Jennifer Rowe (Trawlwulwuy). Much Indigenous history has been tragically erased by colonisation. In this exhibition, the artists summon the voices of their ancestors, reclaiming lost traditional knowledge. In this recovery, the artists advocate for gentler, more sustainable relationships with the land.
All four artists live and work in the Northern Rivers, on Bundjalung country.
