It’s my house, but you can't come in is an exhibition which investigates individual perceptions of the conscious experience. States of conscious thought are explored through ceramic sculptures and interactive installation, prompting introspection on perceived ideas of experiencing the external world as an internal conscious entity.
Imagined psychological spaces are manifested physically, inviting subjective projection, exploring a personal experience of existing as a unique contained conscious force. Interactivity within the exhibition enables presence and absence to play an active role, creating variable states within the works. A playful and somewhat whimsical construction diffuses the presence of complex philosophical and neurological themes, positioning artworks as constructs focused on the conscious experience as a universal state capable of being perceived without being understood.
Possession of an individual internal conscious state defines everything we are and everything we do. It’s my house, but you can't come in instigates conscious thought on the presence of a conscious self, encouraging an appreciation and ownership over this state.
