Woodward deconstructs and reconstructs past drawings and works on paper into new reimagined artworks investigating materiality and residual marks. In this new series, the artist questions our relationship to the environment, which she invites into her process by exposing the works to the elements and the natural dying characteristics of native trees. The work continues her exploration of the unseen labour of the artist, duration, persistence, perseverance, and chance.
