NOISY HOUR with Fountain
Thursday 11 December, 5pm
For our last NOISY HOUR of 2025, we are joined by Lismore-based experimental sound project Fountain, who will respond to Complex notophyll vine forest: ground-proof by Clare Milledge. For this event, Fountain will draw from contemporary texts that employ science/fiction as a mode of philosophical investigation set against a sound field generated in response to the exhibition.NOISY HOUR is part of our accessibility program, to encourage audiences to observe and experience the exhibitions in unexpected ways in response to the element of sound and performance activating the exhibition space.
Free, no bookings required.
Accessibility: The Gallery is wheelchair accessible. If you would like to discuss your access requirements, please email linsey.gosper@lismore.nsw.gov.au or call 02 6627 4606.
About Fountain
Fountain is Betty Russ, Michael Donnelly, Kairan Ward and Andy Hodges. The project explores the inherent ambiguity of dislocated text and found sounds augmented by electroacoustic improvisation. Through a process of recontextualisation, new meanings are offered, creating a dialogue between disparate voices ushered by fresh interpretations.
