We are thrilled to announce an exclusive Waangenga Blanco performance as part of our reopening program. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience Waangenga’s creative response to the exhibition Buruugaa Garaa Buruu Garaa Budgermagali through an improvised and interactive performance.
In his performance, Waangenga will explore the currents that run through his veins, the meeting of his freshwater and saltwater bloodlines. The song of the ocean and the fresh springs meet in a body of colliding cultures.
What does it mean to have the currents of many nations swirling through the bloods of a modern man?
A FOOT IN EACH WORLD AND HEART IN NEITHER.
How can the landscape of our bodies connect us to the great mother?
Where do we find the thread back to the ancient pulse of life?
About Waangenga Blanco

He has been nominated for many awards and won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer at the Australian Dance Awards in 2014.
