About the artist
Pam Tippett has always been drawn to realistic, figurative painting. She is well known for her still-life paintings in a realist style stemming from the classical nineteenth-century tradition. Studying at Studio Simi in Florence between 1977 and 1980 reinforced her interest in continuing in this style.
Pamela Tippett grew up in Lismore and was a student of Michael Taylor. Her subjects include portraiture and landscape, and in her recent career, Tippett has focused on still-life painting. Tippett has held solo exhibitions in Melbourne, Sydney and internationally in Italy and France. She lives in Goulburn and is represented by Australian Galleries.
