The Gallery is working to further assist audiences and artists with a disability, please let us know if there is anything we could do to help further.

There is one dedicated disabled parking space in front of the gallery (next to pedestrian crossing on Molesworth St. This is not dedicated to the Gallery, so is unable to be reserved.)

Front entrance is via gentle ramp. Note that the front door is not automatic, and opens outwards. A bell to the right of the door will alert staff to open the door if you have trouble.

Inside the Gallery

All ground floor galleries are wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately the upstairs gallery space, and gallery offices are not wheelchair accessible.

Bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Palate at the Gallery, our adjoining café, is wheelchair accessible from their front entrance – but not from the Gallery directly.  To access the toilets from the café you need to enter back through the Gallery front door. Café staff have a key for the gallery when the Gallery is closed to access the toilets.

Hearing impaired

Many of the Gallery’s public programs automatically have an Auslan interpreter – this includes the regular Peggy Popart events. Where possible, film screenings will have open captioning.

To confirm an Auslan interpreter is present, please contact the Gallery at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Most interpretive material for exhibitions is in the form of wall text.
